The company was established in 1992 as TV Solution Company. The name of the company comes from a word electricity (in Lithuanian - "elektra"). Since EKTRA came into existence, it has been operating under Balticum TV’s shadow as a supplier of technical equipment. Cooperating with Balticum TV and solving all the technical problems which Balticum TV had faced, EKTRA became one of the main Balticum TV’s partners and reached the highest level of the well qualified personnel.

EKTRA’s personnel consist of young, motivated and highly qualified staff. By the end of 2011, the company numbered14 people and 6 of them have at least 7 years of work experience in the telecommunications’ sector.

Since the past year, more and more companies have been choosing EKTRA Ltd. as the main partner or the consultant in the telecommunications’ sphere. Even international companies are interested in EKTRA’s the highly qualified and experienced staff.

Ektra Ltd. is a broadcaster. It owns and manages the optical fiber circle across the Lithuania. Through the circle Ektra is broadcasting at least 150 digital programs.
